Choosing The FS-1300D

Kyocera Mita Printers are among the best in laser printers and for good reason as well. For a long time Kyocera has concentrated solely on laser printers and has not diverted its attention by going into the inkjet printer market. As far as laser printers go, mono versions have long been the mainstay of business related printing. These mono laser printers offer low cost options to print black and white text as well as make good quality B & W graphics.

One of the better Kyocera Mita Printers, the FS-1300D is a good laser printer for personal needs and it also comes with duplex printing features. This is one laser printer that is attractively packaged in a dark slat gray box that has a paper tray that can hold as many as two hundred and fifty sheets. This tray is conveniently located at bottom of its front panel. There is also an additional fifty sheet multi-purpose tray that makes it easier to print envelopes as well as letterheads and even transparencies.

Unfortunately there is no way to know how much toner is left in the cartridge though you can peek in and take a look at the toner cartridge which is possible by looking at the paper stop that is located strategically in top part of the printer and which has a tiny sized window through which you can peep in and see the toner cartridge. This is but a cosmetic addition that does not serve any practical kind of purpose.

However, this printer does not follow convention when it comes to its control panel which has a round dial that has 6 orange and green LEDs which show various aspects including normal status, paper jam and low toner and paper out. In addition you will find a pair of control buttons that are colored orange (to start) and green (stop) a printing job.

This Kyocera printer also has a lone USB port at the back and you can also use a network adaptor that is an addition that you can opt to purchase. You can also buy additional memory and in addition you can purchase a cabinet on which you can place your printer and you can also purchase additional two hundred and fifty sheet paper trays.

Installing the software is pretty simple and straightforward and there is nothing to it. You will also get support to print multiple pages on a single sheet of paper though there is no support for watermarks or for over-printing. To install the toner cartridge simply requires raising the top cover and clipping the cartridge into its slot. Then, for about forty-five minutes you have to wait while the printer does a toner charging cycle.

There are many reasons why it pays to shop for laser printers and in particular Kyocera Mita Printers. These devices are speedy and will finish your print job very fast. Secondly, it will print in a more precise manner as compared to inkjet printer and impact-style printer.

Thirdly, these printers incorporate the latest printing technologies and so offer you more efficiency and they look more modern as well. Lastly, these printers are small and compact and so offer greater convenience of use.
