Your Blackberry To Keep Track Of Your Pets

The latest buzz in pet care products today is the GPS Pet Tracker. Available in a wide range of options with choices to fit every budget, GPS Pet Trackers use GPS technology to help you locate and find your missing pet. Among all the models in the market today, the SpotLight GPS Pet Locator, manufactured by Positioning Animals World Inc. (PAW) is the only pet tracker that has teamed up with the American Kennel Club’s Companion Animal Recovery (AKC CAR). This offers all its clients an around the clock recovery service, a dedicated hotline, and real-time pet tracking. The AKC CAR also provides a unique collar tag and ID, which goes a long way in keeping your pet safe and secure.

The SpotLight GPS Pet Locator allows you to determine certain safe spots or zones where your dog is allowed to roam freely, for example your backyard or the local park. If your dog leaves any of these pre-determined zones, you will be notified via text message and/or email. You can then track down your pet with step-by-step directions using Google Map technology. The SpotLight is sturdy, lightweight, and water-resistant. The compact transmitter fits on any regular dog collar and has rechargeable long-life batteries. The SpotLight is also fitted with a remote controlled LED beacon, which can be switched on if your pet is lost in the dark. Along with all these additional inclusions, PAW has incorporated a special “Rescue” button. If any one happens to find your missing pet, all they have to do is press the Rescue button and you will receive a message that your dog has been found along with his location.

AKC CAR and PAW hope that through SpotLight, the number of pets that go missing every year drastically reduces. They have therefore developed a truly innovative product that offers its clients the best technology along with support to the pet owning community. The SpotLightGPS.com website has rapidly developed into the definitive online destination for pet owners. It’s filled with a wide range of pet information thanks to PAW’s alliance with PetWave. As a trusted and reputed online source, PetWave and PAW offer a holistic approach to pet safety and health information and is developed by highly recommended pet nutritionists, specialists, breeders, veterinarians and enthusiasts from all over the country.

With PAW’s recent release of an iPhone application for the SpotLight GPS Pet Locator, the iPhone can now access all the features of the Pet Tracking System without the need for a computer. Now on the cards is the Blackberry Beta App. Though this is a Beta application in the last stages of testing, the final version is soon to be released. The new Beta SpotLight for BlackBerry http://www.spotlightgps.com/MobileApps.aspx requires BlackBerry OS 4.2 or greater. (Supported BlackBerry models include 8100, 8110, 8120, 8130, 8220, 8230, 8300, 8310, 8320, 8350i, 9100, 9300, 8800, 8820, 8830, 8900, 9000, 9630, 9700, 8520, 8530, 9500, 9530, 9550, 7130e, 8700, 8700g, 8700r, 8703e).
