Tuna Fishing Needs Total Commitment And Whole - hearted Dedication
by: Nathan Ethan

Tuna fishing can be real fun but at the same time, it is an arduous task. For succeeding in tuna fishing, you should be ready to dedicate yourself whole-heartedly with a total commitment in the sport. Tuna fish is real wonders of the sea and some of the species of tuna are so attractive that almost all the fishermen and anglers throughout the world wish to venture into hunting tuna fish. Most of the people like the taste of tuna also and therefore, their commercial value is also on the increase.

Fishermen and anglers venture into tuna fishing knowing full well the challenges posed by this sport. Apart from the physical energy, you spend on it, you will have to spend money for procuring the required equipments for tuna fishing. Hence, only if you come back with a good yield, your enthusiasm for tuna fishing will grow, but if you come empty-handed or if your yield is not as good as expected, your enthusiasm will be sapped because of disappointment.

You should keep in mind that while trolling for tuna fish, your trolling speed must be in the range of 5 to 8 miles per hour. You must use the W pattern so that the tuna can be teased, made to get tired and then caught. Apart from this pattern, if you display your lures as flashy presentation, they can be teased more. This trick will make the tuna fish think wrongly that they have stumbled upon a big school of bait fish and fall into your trap.

For finding out the locations where you can get a good yield of tuna, you should watch the environments closely. If you see that there are a large number of diving birds in the sea busy hunting for bait fish, this indicates that tuna fish will be available in that location. Likewise, if you see big sea animals like whales, dolphins and sharks hunting for their prey in a particular area, you can look for tuna in that area, and you will succeed in getting a good yield. This is because tuna fish likes to hang around these big sea animals.

Tuna like to live in warm waters. When the season is hot and there is a warm weather condition, they feed near the surface of water. So you will find it easy to catch tuna fish during such climates. On the contrary, when there is a cold climate and during chill seasons, tuna goes deep into the waters. Hunting them during such weather conditions become difficult.

Tuna fish feed better when dim lighting prevails. So you should venture into the sea in the early morning hours or the late afternoon hours when the lighting is poor. You are sure to succeed in getting a good yield than.

Tuna fishing is physically and mentally a challenging job. Physically, you should bear the brunt of fighting with them because they fight ferociously and tenaciously when they are caught. Mentally, you will be forced to take spot decisions when you are on the seas. You should be prepared for both.
