The Nokia C5 Is Appealing On All Levels

With its conventional looking styling, you may not expect the Nokia C5 to boast a long spec list or indeed any Smartphone Technology.

However this could not be further from the truth, as it includes features such as a 3.2 mega pixel digital camera with LED flash, access to the Ovi Store and free turn-by-turn navigation from Ovi Maps.

The Nokia C5 is relatively compact measuring 112x 46x 12.3 mm whilst it is lightweight, weighing in at just 89.3 g. The TFT screen measures 2.2 inches and is capable of displaying up to 16M colours within the confines of its 240x 320 pixel layout.

In order to alert users to incoming calls and messages, vibration works in conjunction with ringing and users have the option to assign MP3 music files as ringtones, allowing them to customise the sound of the phone. In order to carry out handsfree communication, a speakerphone with stereo speakers is included as well as a 3.5 mm audio Jack. The latter accommodates both handsfree headsets as well as earphones for listening to music.

Along with its modest standard internal storage, the Nokia C5 also includes a microSD card slot which can accommodate a memory card of up to 16 GB. This is sure to cater to the needs of most users, and it has a 2 GB card already installed which in itself is capable of storing a large amount of files.

The Nokia C5 utilises class 32 GPRS and class 32 EDGE in order to keep it connected to cellular networks on the move. In areas covered by 3G, a generous speeds of up to 10.2 mega bytes per second are provided by a HSDPA connection (along with 2 megabytes per second via HSUPA). Bluetooth and micro USB connections allow users to connect the handset to other compatible hardware devices in order to carry out a number of different tasks.

A 3.2 mega pixel digital camera is included which does a great job of taking high quality photos thanks to its high pixel resolution. It also comes with an LED flash to overcome the obstacle of taking decent photos in low lighting conditions. VGA quality video footage can be shot at 15 frames per second using the camera, whilst there is also a VGA video camera included.

Utilising a combination of the Symbian OS and a 600 MHZ ARM processor, users are assured of a great user experience. A long list of additional features is included as standard such as a document viewer, organiser, social networking integration, versatile internal media player, pre-installed and downloadable games and radio player.

The Nokia C5 makes a great Smartphone for those who are not worried about fitting in with the crowd but who simply want a functional handset which in terms of features can compete with many mainstream Smartphones.
