The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is packed with appealing features including an 8.1 mega pixel digital camera, android operating system and a powerful 1 GHz processor. It is also a great phone for viewing photos and video files thanks to its large 4 inch touch screen.

The dimensions of the XPERIA X10 are 119x 63x 13 mm, with and light weight of just 135 g. Due to the large touchscreen, it is not the smallest phone in the world, and is extremely slimline for a phone such along spec list.

In order to store data such as media files and documents, the XPERIA X10 offers 1 GB of internal storage as standard along with expandable microSD storage which has a pre-installed 8 GB memory card. However this can be expanded by installing a card of up to 32 GB offering the potential to store an entire digital music collection and heaps of other files.

In order to connect to cellular networks, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 utilises class 10 versions of GPRS and EDGE. Access to the Internet is provided via both and HSDPA at 7.2 mega bytes per second in areas with 3G coverage, as well as Wi-Fi connectivity which offers a faster method of browsing the Internet where local Wireless Networks available. Users can connect to other devices both wirelessly and directly thanks to Bluetooth and micro USB connections.

One of the most impressive features of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is its superb 8.1 mega pixel digital camera. Thanks to its high pixel count in high operating resolution, the resulting still images are of superb quality. A variety of image enhancing features are also provided to improve the quality of photos whilst simultaneously simplifying the task of taking them. Users can also use this camera to shoot video footage in WVGA quality at 30 frames per second.

Android 1.6 is the operating system of choice which works very well in conjunction with a powerful 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. This provides a lightning fast response when navigating the Timescape/Mediascape user interface.
