The Wildfire By HTC Provides A Versatile Alternative To Mainstream Smartphones

The HTC Wildfire offers a refreshing alternative to mainstream smartphones. With its highly customisable HTC Sense UI, its 5 MP camera and Android 2.1 OS it certainly ticks all the boxes in terms of functionality.

It is also a stylish unit with a number of colour variants amiable, and all round aesthetic appeal it certainly turns heads for all the right reasons. It is finished in a soft touch material, and has slightly more rounded, softer corners than the HTC Desire. All of this combines to make it an ideal handset for the style conscious user who also views their phone as a fashion statement.

The TFT capacitive touchscreen measures 3.2 inches and boasts its fair share of features. An accelerometer sensor allows auto rotation of the screen allowing it to be viewed in both portrait and landscape forms. Multi touch input method and an optical trackpad also provided. The pixel resolution of the screen is 240x 320, the confines of which are able to display up to 16M colours. Provides superb clarity of the onscreen content be it images, video or websites.

That HTC Sense UI is highly customisable. Up to seven homescreens can be assigned to and customise using apps and widgets, thousands of which can be accessed through the Android Market. Therefore users can assign a specific aim screen for a particular scenario or need.

A great five mega pixel camera is provided. This is great for both photography enthusiasts and simply those who like to take spontaneous snapshots when out friends. This camera has its fair share of image enhancing features and it also boasts the ability to shoot video. The presence of an LED flash means that low lighting conditions are not an issue when it comes to taking great quality photos.

Access to the Internet is provided by either an HSDPA connection in areas covered by 3G, or through Wi-Fi connectivity where local Wireless Network being available. The HTC Wildfire relies on class 10 versions of both EDGE & GPRS to stay connected to cellular networks whilst compatible hardware devices can be connected to wirelessly and directly via Bluetooth and micro USB connections respectively.

A long list of additional features makes the HTC Wildfire a highly functional Smartphone for everyday use. The versatile internal media player supports many different music and video file formats whilst a number of games and a radio player are also included for all the users’ entertainment.

HTC has hit the nail on the head with the Wildfire. Excellent all round performance combined with stunning aesthetics mean the HTC Wildfire is an Android Smartphone which ticks all the boxes.
